Winter at Snowshoe

Winter at Snowshoe is a special place.  You canski and snowboard and play in the snow.  It's the best!  But what is a snowshoe?  Well, it's more than one thing!  A snowshoe is like a big, flat boot that you put on your foot so you can walk through deep snow.  And, a snowshoe is a type of hare.  Not the kind of hair on your head, but a rabbit.  Snowshoe hares live on the mountain.  In summer they have brown fur, and in winter it turns white.
